WKBW-TV 7 Eyewitness News has hired Ali Touhey, a Multi-Media Journalist with a passion for telling stories that make a difference, effective January 4th. 

Ms. Touhey is presently Chief of Staff for NYS Assemblyman Sean Hanna. She previously worked at WROC-TV, Rochester, NY and WICZ-FOX 40 in Binghamton, NY as a reporter and anchor.

“I was honored to work with Assemblyman Hanna, but I realized I miss telling the stories that make a difference and wanted to get back into journalism” said Touhey, “I’m excited to join the 7 Eyewitness News team and make Western New York my home.”

“With the addition of Ali to 7 Eyewitness News we are strengthening our reporting staff to better serve our viewers,” said Michael Nurse, vice president and general manager for WKBW-TV. “Over the past year and a half we have made several key hires to ensure our comprehensive coverage of the daily news product and Ali’s experience adds to our solid team of reporters, while her political background will be very helpful in the upcoming political year”.  

Ali heads to Buffalo with two loyal Buffalo Bills fans, her husband, Jeff and their dog, Oscar.
