RADIO STATION OF THE YEAR AWARD
This award is presented to one radio station in the Buffalo market which best
exemplifies the very highest standards and practices of broadcasting. The basis
of judging will be the station's overall achievement during the period including
January 1, 2011 - October 31, 2011 All aspects of the station's operation will
be considered, including news, public/community service, station promotions,
sales promotions, local programming, special efforts in other areas, as well as
any additional factors that set the station apart and distinguish it as Radio
Station of the Year.

TELEVISION STATION OF THE YEAR AWARD
This award is presented to the television station in the Buffalo market that
best exemplifies the very highest standards and practices of the broadcast
industry. All aspects of the station's operation during the period including
January 1, 2011 - October 31, 2011 will be considered, including news,
public/community service, station promotions, sales promotions, local
programming, special efforts in other areas, as well as any additional factors
that set your station apart and distinguish your station as the Television
Station of the Year.

RADIO PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR AWARD
This award is presented to an outstanding on-air radio personality, based on
his or her contributions in the areas of community service, entertainment and
professionalism.

TV PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR AWARD
This award is presented to an outstanding on-air television anchor, reporter or
personality for his or her outstanding contributions in the areas of news
information, community service, entertainment and professionalism.

PRINT/ELECTRONIC PUBLICATON OF THE YEAR AWARD
This award is presented a daily, weekly or monthly print or electronic
publication in the Buffalo market that best exemplifies the very highest
standards and practices of media industry. All aspects of the operation during
the period including October 1st, 2010 – October 1st, 2011 will be considered,
including the publications relative strengths, quality of reporting and writing,
use of photos, design and presentation, digital offering, overall utility,
community service, reader interest and overall value.

DIGITAL MEDIA OF THE YEAR AWARD (Digital Only Media)
This award is presented to a digital media outlet that demonstrates
exceptional quality, engagement and relevance to its readers across all media
platforms available. In addition, it will be judged on creativity, innovation,
community participation and success in responding to challenges. It is not based
on resources or highest number of page views.

RISING STAR AWARD
This award recognizes the outstanding achievements of a promising individual,
whose outstanding professional performance represents the next generation of
media, including new innovation, strategy, execution, and delivery. Individual
must be working full-time for less than two years at a Buffalo media outlet to
be considered for this honor.

BACKPACK JOURNALIST OF THE YEAR AWARD (Radio, Television or Publication)
This award recognizes an individual who has shown exceptional performance in
producing, shooting and writing stories while utilizing multimedia platform
capabilities.

This award is presented to a radio station, television station, or publication,
for fulfilling the mission of the organization by strategically and effectively
utilizing the latest technology of social media for the promotion of a product,

SALES EXECUTIVE OF THE YEAR AWARD (Radio, TV or Publication)
This award is presented to an outstanding individual currently working full-time
in media sales, business development or any other related position whose primary
responsibility is to sell advertising or sponsorship programs in the Buffalo
market. This individual should have consistently met and exceeded his/her
individual budget between January1st to October 31st, 2011 to be considered for
this top honor.

This award is presented to an individual currently working in media for
