In keeping with the tradition of celebrating the future of broadcasting, the Buffalo Broadcasters Association is proud to announce that applications are being accepted for the Tim Russert Media Career Award.

The award recognizes one undergraduate or graduate student that demonstrates a promising future in the television, radio, digital or social media field.

Students must be pursuing a major related to radio, television, digital and/or social media. Applications for this award are being accepted until June 30, 2019. Click this link to be directed to the site with full criteria for the award.

The winning student will be awarded a $1,000 and be recognized at our annual Hall of Fame Gala on September 19, 2019.

The award is named after Buffalo broadcasting legend Tim Russert, who was the moderator of NBC’s “Meet the Press” for 16 years. He passed away in 2008 at the age of 58.
