The Buffalo Broadcasters Association’s Chairman Emeritus Dave Gillen left the sales team at WGRZ-TV in early September and made the switch to Townsquare Media. His new job includes being a part of the sales team at Townsquare and also is on-air weeknights from 7 p.m. to midnight on WMSX-FM (Mix 96). Gillen had been working weekend shifts since 2014 at the station, since the format switched.

Gillen got his start in radio while still in high school and has worked at WEBR, WGRZ, WACJ, WNYS, WKSE, and WMJQ, to name a few. In 2000, he flipped over to the sales side of broadcasting at started at WJYE and went to work at WYRK, WIVB/WNLO, and most recently, WGRZ-TV.

Gillen served as the organization’s President from 2004 through 2014 and then became Chairman of the Buffalo Broadcasters Association from 2015 to 2017.
