If Hubbell was “The Dean”, Clint was the undisputed “King” of Buffalo broadcasters. For close to 50 years Clint Buehlman ruled morning radio with a mixture of big city sophistication and hometown, corn-ball humor. A generation of Baby-Boomers sat glu ed to the radio anxiously awaiting word as to whether they would be going to school in the snow. Their parents put off leaving for the office until they got word on the weather from Clint, his trusty engineer Tom Whalen….and, of course, Arther (Mometer, that is). “Buehly” began his morning reign at WGR in the 30’s and moved to WBEN in the early 40’s. When Buehlman retired in ’78 he had carved a name for himself that would never be equaled in Buffalo broadcasting.
