2017 Buffalo Broadcasters Association Mentoring Program Application

Students interested in applying for an opportunity to take part in this customized program can apply here. The application will open on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 and close on Wednesday, March 1, 2017. Applicants are encouraged to complete this form as early as possible along with their statement of intent. You will also need to ask for a letter of recommendation from a current/past faculty member or academic advisor. Additional details are available when you complete the form.

  • In this section, please prepare a typed statement outlining the following points: 1) What are your future career goals? Please be as descriptive as possible. 2) Where do you see yourself in 5 years within the broadcasting field? 3) What would you like to get out of this experience? 4) Please include any relevant experience in media that you would like the review committee to know about.   • Please provide the email of your letter writer. We will be reaching out to them requesting that the letter of recommendation be sent to the appropriate email addresses.
  • To be considered for this program, a member of your academic program must write you a letter of recommendation supporting your application to the mentorship program. Acceptable recommenders include previous and current professors, a faculty advisor, or your academic advisor. You will need to contact your recommender and ask them for a letter to be written. The final letter should be sent directly to AND before Wednesday, March 1, 2017 in order for your application be considered complete.
