There is more news to share regarding the changes from Townsquare Media.

9 months after joining WMSX-FM, Dave Fields will be moving down the hall to WYRK-FM covering the afternoon drive. He announced the move on his Facebook page earlier this week.

Fields will take over for Wendy Lynn, who had previous covered afternoon drive, until her departure in July 2018. The move comes as WMSX-FM changed formats to “96.1 The Breeze” after the Christmas holiday. He moved back to Buffalo after working at stations across the country and most recently, WKDQ-FM in Evansville.

Hall of Fame Radio Inductee Joe Chille will be returning to WMSX-FM (formerly WJYE-FM) as morning host. It’s a homecoming of sorts since Chille spent 34 years at Townsquare Media as the morning host and Operations Manager. He left the station in August of 2012 and had been working a number of positions since his departure. During that time, he was Vice President of Programming at WECK-FM and hosted afternoons along with working for WBEN-AM hosting “Senior Radio Buffalo.”

According to Radio Insight, Chille will return to the 96.1 frequency on Monday, January 21.
