Save the date and your appetite. On Friday, April 17, the Buffalo History Museum will present the first of the two planned discussions, GIANTS OF BUFFALO: FOOD.  This presentation is in collaboration with the Buffalo Broadcasters Association and is sponsored by M&T Bank.  WBBZ-TV is media sponsor.

Local restaurants Anchor Bar, Charlie the Butcher and Ted’s Hot Dogs will be featured with a pop-up exhibit a restaurant related artifacts from the museum’s collection and the honored food Giants. The tasty and informative history will be taped for television, co-moderated by John DiScuillo, WBBZ-TV Executive Director of Production and Promotions and Brenda Alesii, Entercom Food Columnist. Ivano Toscani (Anchor Bar), Charlie Roesch (Charlie the Butcher) and Thecly Ortolani (Ted’s Hot Dogs) will be the featured guests.  

Time: 5:30 p.m. reception, 7:00 p.m. program
Cost: $10 for Museum and BBA Members; $20 General
Tickets include the honorees’ signature foods: chicken wings from Anchor Bar; hand-carved roast beef by Charlie the Butcher; and, char-grilled hot dogs (outside on the portico) by Ted’s Hot Dogs.
