The Buffalo Broadcasters Association has elected their annual slate of officers for the organization.
Elected to the Executive Committee were: Heidi Raphael of Greater Media as President; Steve Reszka of Reszka & Associates as Vice President and Herb Flemming of Flemming Communications as Secretary/Treasurer.
“I am honored and humbled to follow in the footsteps of Dave Gillen in serving as the new president of the Buffalo Broadcasters Association,” said Heidi Raphael, vice president of corporate communication at Greater Media, Inc.
“His tireless commitment and dedication to the organization over the past decade has provided the foundation for the BBA to continue to grow for years to come as we remember the past and look toward the future of preserving and supporting Western New Yorkâ€™s outstanding broadcasting industry!”
Former president Dave Gillen of WGRZ-TV is now the new Chairman of the Board with Don Angelo retired local sales manager of WGRZ-TV, moving to Chairman Emeritus of the association.
Newly elected to the Board of Directors are: Cathy Oddo of Bryant & Stratton, Jim Safee of DGI Video and â€œGTâ€ George Thomas Apfel a contract engineer.
They will join current board members: Ron Rice, Katie Morse, Pat Feldballe, Nancy Sanders, Don Yearke, Jennifer Stanonis, Mark Scott, Rich Newberg, Terry Fisher, Lea DiCenso, Mike Igoe and John Robshaw to lead the organization.
