2 reporters have recently left local television for new opportunities.
Former Daybreak reporter Stephanie Barnes left WGRZ-TV in early September after nearly 2 years with the station.
Barnes joined the station in 2016 from KRCR-TV in Chico/Redding, California and had previously worked at KIEM-TV in Eureka, California. The Pepperdine University alum recently announced her career change on Twitter to a local firm in WNY.
Excited to announce I am the newest communications specialist for @GoldbergSegalla! It wasn’t easy to part with reporting but it was time for a change (and a later wake up call). Thank you to my followers, friends and family for the support. Can’t wait to share more from #TeamGS! pic.twitter.com/AGK4uQRhcH

WKBW-TV reporter Justin Moore left the station after a 3-year stint that started in September 2015.
The Jackson State University alum and Mississippi native came to Western New York after working at WABG-TV/WNBD-TV in Greenville, Mississippi and WHBQ-TV in Memphis, Tennessee. Moore has not announced where he is headed to next.
The station is currently in the search for Moore’s replacement.
WGRZ-TV has promoted J.T. Messinger to a news and sports photojournalist. His new role supports the sports department, who had been at 3 staff members following the departure of Jonah Javad earlier this year.
About a year ago, Jerry Gasser returned to WGRZ-TV as a photojournalist on a part-time basis. Now, Gasser is adding to his responsibilities as he moves to a full-time position. He had previously worked at WGRZ-TV from 1990 to 2009 in a number of positions, which included News Operations Manager.
