Like many of radio's early pioneers, WGR's Billy Keaton first gained fame as a vaudeville trouper before entering broadcasting. His first Buffalo assignment was in 1940 on the Buffalo Broadcasting Corporation's (BBC) WGR as host of the entertainment themed "Stuff n' Nonsense" show. Keaton passed away in 1976 at the age of 67 after spending 36 years on Buffalo airwaves.
