WYRK-FM, one of the area’s most listened to stations, has made a change to their morning show.
There is more news to share regarding the changes from Townsquare Media.
WGRZ-TV News Director Athan Kompos announced late last week that Collin Bishop has been promoted to the role of Assistant News Director.
Congratulations go out to Dale Mussen from WYRK-FM on celebrating 40 years in Buffalo broadcasting! Earlier this morning, Mayor Byron Brown has proclaimed that June 1 is “Dale Mussen Day” in Buffalo.
He got his start at WWOL-FM on June 1, 177 and then Mussen started with WYRK-FM on June 1, 1982. “The Breakfast Club” is currently hosted by Mussen, Clay Moden, and Liz Mantel from 5:30 to 10 a.m. on weekday mornings and he’s been with the show since 1986. The program has contributed to the station being nominated numerous times as the Country Music Association’s Medium Market Station of the Year Award. Mussen is the only member of the original station that is still there today!
He’s been a critical part of the station’s ratings dominance as they continue to be at or near the top of local radio ratings.
In his spare time, Mussen officiates high school football and has been doing so for 30 years. He is also a member of the JFK Touch Football League Hall of Fame.
