New voices are gracing the NPR affiliate’s airwaves.
Following the departures of Eileen Buckley and Angelica Morrison and promotion of Avery Schneider earlier this year, WBFO-FM had spots on their roster to fill.
Kyle Mackie (right) is one of the newest voices at the station and joined in June 2019. She’s a graduate of George Washington University and the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism in the CUNY system. Mackie interned with the New York Times and WNYC. Her reporting has brought her across the world with stops in Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
The most recent addition was from earlier this week and the hire of Tom Dinki. He’s a graduate of the University at Buffalo and was Editor-in-Chief of the Spectrum, the university’s student-run newspaper. Dinki joins the NPR affiliate from the Olean Times Herald after spending three years in the Southern Tier. Dinki won awards for his work from the New York State Associated Press Association in 2018.
In case you missed it, earlier this year, Thomas O’Neil-White (left) was promoted from weekend host to a reporter back in March. He joined the station covering weekend duties in 2018 and was a former intern with the station. O’Neil-White is a graduate of Buffalo State College and worked with WBNY-FM.
