Tom Connolly was WBEN 930 AM’s dedicated overnight anchor/reporter/producer for over 30 years. Connolly lost his battle with kidney cancer on June 5.

Tom Connolly (Credit WBEN)Connolly was a founding member of 91.3 WBNY, Buffalo’s Original Alternative at Buffalo State College and he returned to serve as the station’s mentor until his diagnosis in April.

Per WBEN’s Randy Bushover, the arrangements for Tom Connolly will be held Tuesday, June 14 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the John Kaczor Funeral Home at 5453 Southwestern Boulevard in Hamburg, NY. Service to follow. The WBEN family asks that the details of the arrangements be shared with anyone who may not know.

The Buffalo Broadcasters Association sends its thoughts and prayers to the family of Tom Connolly during this challenging time. Tom will be greatly missed, but his contribution to Western New York’s broadcasting legacy will not be forgotten.
