WKBW 7 Eyewitness News has announced that Thuy Lan Nguyen and Elizabeth Lewin will join their team as multi-media journalists on June 13th and June 6th respectively.

Thuy Lan NguyenNguyen comes to WKBW from KERO 23ABC in Bakersfield, California, where she was a member of the Scripps Journalism Career Program (JCP), a recruitment program in conjunction with the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University. Nguyen also worked at KAET, the PBS station in Phoenix and PHX-TV, the City of Phoenix government access channel and interned at WITI-FOX 6 news in Milwaukee.

Elizabeth Lewin (Half Size)Lewin will be a familiar face to viewers at 7 Eyewitness News. She spent some time working at the station recently as a freelancer. She also has a background in public speaking. Lewin worked as a communication specialist at the City of Buffalo, Mayor’s Office of Communications, a recruiting/account manager at Complete Staffing Solutions and a media relations manager at The Loft Salon by Michael Albor.

Nguyen earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications from Arizona State University, Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. She earned the Asian American Journalists Association VOICES 2014 honor as one of 18 students selected nationally for an immersive reporting workshop.

Lewin is a graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Media Studies from Fordham University in New York City and the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and is currently enrolled in the Multidisciplinary Studies, Masters of Science program at Buffalo State College in Buffalo, New York
