As WECK-AM/FM provides more local programming, two BBA board members are now hosting shows on the station.
Owner and CEO Buddy Shula hosts the “Living Senior Radio” show on Saturdays beginning July 7, 2018. The program can be heard on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
In a press release from the station, the program will feature segments from local businesses and services that would be of interest to listeners who are of age 55 and older. The program will also tackle topics including health care restaurants, and legal counsel. “Buffalo is a city that has a very large population over 55 years old. My job with this show, and with WECK is to cater to this age demographic,” said Shula.
Also, since November 2017, former WKBW-TV Business First reporter and current Director of Public Relations for AAA WCNY Elizabeth Carey has been co-hosting “AAA Talking Travel” with Brian Murray, Director of Travel for AAA WCNY.
Carey and Murray host the weekly program with segments about domestic/international travel and tips and ideas for future trips. The program airs on Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. and Sundays at 6:30 a.m.
