Save the date and your appetite. On Friday, April 17, the Buffalo History Museum will present the first of the two planned discussions, GIANTS OF BUFFALO: FOOD. This presentation is in collaboration with the Buffalo Broadcasters Association and is sponsored by M&T Bank. WBBZ-TV is media sponsor.
Local restaurants Anchor Bar, Charlie the Butcher and Tedâ€™s Hot Dogs will be featured with a pop-up exhibit a restaurant related artifacts from the museum’s collection and the honored food Giants. The tasty and informative history will be taped for television, co-moderated by John DiScuillo, WBBZ-TV Executive Director of Production and Promotions and Brenda Alesii, Entercom Food Columnist. Ivano Toscani (Anchor Bar), Charlie Roesch (Charlie the Butcher) and Thecly Ortolani (Tedâ€™s Hot Dogs) will be the featured guests.
Time: 5:30 p.m. reception, 7:00 p.m. program
Cost: $10 for Museum and BBA Members; $20 General
Tickets include the honoreesâ€™ signature foods: chicken wings from Anchor Bar; hand-carved roast beef by Charlie the Butcher; and, char-grilled hot dogs (outside on the portico) by Tedâ€™s Hot Dogs.
