Two new hires were announced on social media over the past few days. Today, we share the news with you!

On Monday, Jackie Roberts (above) announced on her social media platforms that she is returning home to Western New York after working for two years at WJET-TV in Erie, Pennsylvania. She’ll start at WGRZ-TV in March.

Roberts graduated from St. Bonaventure and served as the News Director and Station Manager for WSBU. She also won the Bob Koop Award for Excellence in Broadcast Journalism during her time in Olean. Roberts was also a participant in the Buffalo Broadcasters Association’s first ever Student Mentoring Program.

Before heading to Erie, Roberts worked at Spectrum News Buffalo for a year as a News Assistant.

In an announcement on Twitter, meteorologist Stevie Daniels shared that she’ll be joining WIVB-TV beginning in March.

Daniels hails from Maryland and studied at Salisbury University. She earned her degree in Atmospheric Science in 2017. She is currently the morning meteorologist at WETM-TV in Elmira, New York and previously worked at WMDT-TV.

Late last month, we told you that reporter Jenn Schanz left the CBS affiliate for a new opportunity.

Last week, she took the wraps off her announcement! Jenn Schanz joins WXYZ-TV in Detroit, Michigan as a reporter. Before leaving Western New York, Schanz was at WIVB-TV for four years.
